Heating, Air-conditioning & Refrigeration

The two-year Commercial Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Program provides entry level competencies in the service and repair of commercial units. Domestic and residential air-conditioning and refrigeration competencies are incorporated during the first year of training. The student has the option of exiting after one year of training or following sequence of courses which will provide competencies in both fields.

Welding
1-year certificate
Welding is a one-year program that provides students with a working knowledge in the field. The course is intended for beginners in the welding field as well as for students who have received previous training and want to improve their skills and knowledge of the trade.

Carpentry
1-year certificate
The Carpentry Technology program offers a One-Year Basic Journeyman Carpenter Assistant Certificate. The curriculum is designed to prepare the student for entry level employment with competencies in Forms and Foundations, Interior and Exterior Framing, Roofing, Blueprint Reading and Construction Management. Building Codes and Inspections as well as Construction Estimating will also be covered. This curriculum also exposes the student to Computer-Aided Construction Scheduling.

Electrical Technology

A.A.S.
Journeyman Electrician Assistant Certificate (1-yr.) & Journeyman Electrician Assistant Certificate (2-yr.) - Laredo Community College offers two levels of study: The Electrical Technology program provides apprentice-level skill training leading to immediate employment in the electrician field.
